Design Principles

Practicing design and working on a lean product team, I am taking a lead role in design and switch hats.
My duties covers end-to-end product and design processes, and i apply creative and design thinking metodologies as well as research and ideation, create flowcharts and sketches, build rapid prototype, conduct usability testing, and also, write up product sepcs reports and pitching presentation to stakeholders.
I am principled in every problem i come to slove and adopt a user centric approach to make useful and cohesive product experiences, i belive that polish and precision matter alot in order to build trust and try to focused on an existing single problem every time.

Effective communication is key to lead a team and ship products successfully. I encoruge my team to work on togetherness, partnership and accountability as well as adapte and improve processes and workflows, design systematically, create building blocks to follow and generate styleguides to maintain consistency, all in the name of createing alignment and avoiding unnecessary discussions.

Communicating solutions is a crutial and should always starts with setting expectations, sharing the outcomes should always be backed with the logic behind it and generateing a full detailed storyteling mockups and UX principles and mental models can assit with getting the right result followed by the right feedback and validation.

Getting to know the bussines , I belive design role is not only to practice and deliver visual outcomes,  a secsseful designer is envolved with the bussines and has a direct impact on it, it is important to communicate what design is doing and how it affects the product and the bussines.

Process

// Ask questions
Every project starts with a big question mark on its head, what are we trying to solve, design is supported by extensive market research and data, with first-hand opinions from the users and ad clients.

// Ideate & explore
Design is a team sport. We gather information from many people who are involved, including designers, engineers, product managers, market researchers, sales and all other stakeholders. We focus on those most affected, write use cases and scenarios, followed by concept generation in whiteboard session.

// Sketch
Perliminary sketch is necessary to translate and articulate ideas and thoughts into a design engagment in order to conclude a potiential solution which can be easly communicated with engineers. Wireflow, is a design spec that combines wireframe with a simplified flowchart to represent interactions. Beyond the skeleton, visual spec will reflect the design choices for layouts, colors, typography, iconography, etc.

// Prototype & tell a story
Prototyping is crutial for storytelling demos and ideas to each of the stakeholders, a walk throghout the resolution of the problem align everyone on what we are working on and what it takes to reach a great product and
engineers can esstimate effort way before before diving and commiting time and money into the final product.

// Gather feedback
My approach of testing: define testing goals, choose the right test, create user tasks, prepare research plan document, conduct the test, and finally write a quick report that covers research method, findings, and design recommendations.

// Iterate & improve
Design is fundamentally an exploratory approach. It can never reach the goal in single attempt. In each iteration, the design is moving closer to the shore as in a self-correcting process.
